Hidden Gardens at Bella Terra

The Gardens

Nature is not a place to visit. It is home.
The Common Area Gardens

The defining feature of the Bella Terra Gardens PUD is the Central Garden, a lush setting accessible by private walkways and internal roads. Ponds and waterfalls anchor a thoughtfully  composed garden of trees, shrubs, flowers, and foliage. Winding paths lead to  multiple viewpoints and benches, creating places to pause and reflect throughout the grounds.

Fruit trees, vegetables, and herbs are woven among ornamental plantings, adding seasonal interest and encouraging informal interaction.

The Contemplative Grotto

Within the Central Garden is the Contemplative Grotto—an enclosed garden within a garden. It offers shade in the heat of summer and a dry place to sit during rain or snow. A small stream runs quietly through its interior, creating a calm setting for reflection, meditation, reading, or quiet conversation.

The Grotto is designed to provide visual privacy from surrounding pathways and neighboring residences. Even the entry is arranged so the interior space is not visible from outside.
